St. Brendan’s is a nurturing, vibrant community. Our school community promotes connections between students, staff, parents, parish, the Thomas Carr Good Samaritan Campus, the surrounding townships and the extended Colac district. We understand that ‘it takes a village to raise a child’ and do our best to provide a nurturing environment which promotes belonging and supportive relationship networks.
We appreciate the support given to us from all sectors of the community and, in turn, encourage our children to understand the importance of giving back where we can. Giving back to the community not only makes a positive impact to the lives of others, it also enables our students to have the spiritual fulfillment that comes from giving back. Our strong sense of community reflects the spirit of ubuntu, which is essentially about togetherness, and how all of our actions have an impact on others and on society.
